At the Patchwork Craft Fair I ran into these two characters, created by Maiden Voyage Clothing. I wanted a chance to share them with you guys.
So, just comment on this post, letting me know what you did this weekend and a random winner will be picked on Thursday night. If you win you can choose which of these two you would like.
General Cornelius Fuzzington
This design honors General Cornelius Fuzzington who led the Union Blue Bellies at the Battle of Davenport. Even after suffering the loss of an eye in battle, he pressed on and earned himself the coveted Crossbones Medal of Valor.
The ribbon below his portrait reads “Loyalty in Life, Honor in Death”.
General Scooter “Foxy” McGee
This design immortalizes General Scooter “Foxy” McGee who led the Catfederate Grey Coats at the Battle of Davenport. His stealthy ability to catch the enemy off guard earned him the nickname “Foxy”, as well as an array of medals.
The ribbon below his portrait reads “Nine Lives to Live, Nine Lives to Give”.

Another weekend of running around getting birthday present ideas for the boyos, and making a few batches of Jell-O play dough, which smells SO GOOD.
how do you make that?
Well, for once I have a lot to report. On saturday I did TEN loads of laundry and painted a playroom. Then I watched three documentaries in a row, and went to bed at midnight. Oh what a crazy woman I am!
You know how to party
I was lazy!! I went to the art museum and did some crafting! Once I actually complete one of my many projects, I intend to send you photos!!
Im super excited for frankenstein pillow
I drove up north to see my boyfriend and spent the whole weekend in bed… ^^;
Good for you
Ah, these shirts are delightful. And inspiring, always inspiring. I met a man over the weekend who combs his cat daily and saves the hair in a plastic bag. I thought of all the crafting he could do. Then I saw a book in Moe’s window (bookstore in Berkeley) called, “Crafting with Cat Hair.” No shit. I also sat in the sun reading an old Isaac Asimov book and saw “Moonrise Kingdom” with a few friends. All my thumbs are up on that one.
I featured that book in an earlier post, Im deeply tempted to buy a copy. Please tell me however that the cat hair guy wasn’t a date?
Ems!
Just thinking about you. It was this time so many years ago we went to see the rap music together, and you frowned upon me wearing an eyelet floppy hat. Not enough swag for you and all you represent I suppose.
Well, this weekend I wore a floppy hat (no, not that one. Another!) and Des and I painted outside. I was crap. But his turned out pretty well. I started painting a cow, but it ended up an octopus. Sigh.
show me the cow/octopus I bet it rocked. I saw the line up for rock the bells just the other day and thought of you and those awesome girls who could dance and the nerdy boys in front of us. It was our first friend date. I love you and miss you so much.
I went to, wait for it, a CRAFT show. It was the “Pile of Craft” indie craft show in Baltimore, MD. Picked up a couple of nice items and enjoyed a Hawaiian Shave Ice at the Hula Honey’s scooter truck outside.
